Create your own cherry blossom pop art 6x6 inch mini painting in this fun DIY workshop. Arborist and artist, Kristin of D. Prince Designs, will demonstrate how to paint cherry blossoms in a pop art style using your choice of color palette. Participants will have inspiration from photos of DC's iconic cherry trees, including some of the lesser known varieties that you might spot around the District. Create your own unique 2x8 inch pen-and-ink illustrated bookmark in this fun and whimsical class! Illustrator Kristin of D. Prince Designs will demonstrate how to sketch out your bookmark, outline in pen, and apply/blend color with alcohol ink markers. Participants will be able to select their own theme and color palette from inspiration that will be provided. Choose from mushrooms, wildflowers, houseplants, or go your own way! Get creative during this class and illustrate a colorful piece that you can admire every time you open your current read!

Design & Bind: Create Your Own Notebooks

Customize your own mini (2.5 x 3 inch) and standard (5 x 7 inch) notebooks with abstract painted covers in this fun DIY workshop. Kristin of D. Prince Designs will demonstrate several techniques for painting abstract covers and assembling the notebooks. First, participants will select a color palette, inspired by a favorite photo or nostalgia! Then, we'll assemble and bind each notebook with your choice of spiral binding and ribbon bookmark. Take your notebooks home to use and enjoy! (This class is great for adults and kids ages 8+ accompanied by an adult).
