Request a custom hand-illustrated house portrait. Your commission will arrive in a cellophane sleeve with cardboard backing or framed if you add a frame to your order.

How to Order

Simply purchase this listing, and then email Kristin at hi@dprincedesigns.com with at least one reference photo of the house to be illustrated.

The reference photo should show your house in good lighting and should be taken from directly in front of the house (typically standing across the street works best, as long as there are no large trees or other objects in the way). At least one photo needs to meet this criteria; feel free to send additional photos of details as well as any specific requests for this house portrait. 

Kristin will reach out to you for feedback when the illustration is sketched in pencil before proceeding with ink. You will have about 24-48 hours to provide feedback at this point in the process.

My illustration medium is pen-and-ink. Therefore, you will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the pencil sketch, but will not be able to request changes to color once the illustration is inked. If you have specific requests for this commission, please ensure you have sent them before booking this commission or when providing feedback on the pencil sketch, so I can confirm that they can be accommodated. Thank you!

The most amazing house portrait

If you’re thinking about commissioning Kristin to make you a house portrait, absolutely do it! She is amazing. Seriously, a true talent. We didn’t have one solid picture of our house so we sent her a few to put together and she did an amazing job capturing all the details we wanted. It came out better than I could have ever imagined and I love walking past the picture in my home every day. Thank you, Kristin!

Commissioned a great gift!

I recently commissioned a gift for my partner from Kristin and it came out great! The portrait was of an old bar my partner loved to frequent that unfortunately no longer exists, but Kristin was more than willing to work with the few reference photos I was able to gather for it. Communicating with Kristin was easy, she kept me up-to-date on the project's status throughout the whole process, and she gave me multiple opportunities to provide feedback or request small edits. Amazing personalized gift - couldn't ask for more

My grandma loves her home so for Christmas our family decided to commission a house portrait for her. Working with Kristin was incredibly easy - she was very responsive and helpful every step of the way. The key details we wanted to be highlighted were all there and she also provided some suggestions when we wanted to make some changes to the pencil drawing. While it wasn't guaranteed by Christmas, Kristin was able to work her magic and have it arrive in time! When we opened it, it was even more special than we ever could've imagined it. My grandma loved it and it is already hanging in a place of honor. We could not recommend Kristin enough and we look forward to working with her again in the future!

I commissioned a portrait of my brother and sister-in-law's first home. Such an easy process with great communication throughout! Kristin shared the sketch in advance and was very sweet about making the minor tweaks I asked for. I especially enjoyed seeing the the process unfold on Instragram stories! The portrait is fabulous -- true to the house and so very cute-- that I'm sure it will be treasured for a long time!
